How it works

Tell us what you need, and we’ll send it to a few checked local businesses. Compare their quotes, ask questions, then choose the one you want. It’s free for you.

1. Tell us what you need

   Answer a few quick questions, which takes about two minutes. For solar, we look at your roof from above and you confirm it’s your house, so businesses can quote more accurately.

2. We find local businesses

   We check each business before it hears about your job (for solar, things like MCS registration), then send your request to up to five at a time. If one can’t help, we ask another.

3. Get quotes and ask questions

   Quotes appear on your Gig page as they come in, and we email you when one arrives. Message the businesses through Gigs On to ask anything: your phone number, email and address stay private while you compare.

4. Connect with a business

   Press “Connect with…” on the quote you like. It’s free and it’s not a contract. If they don’t confirm, you can choose another quote.

5. You’re connected

   You swap contact details so you can call, message or WhatsApp. They’ll arrange a survey or visit to confirm the final price, and you agree the work directly with them. You pay the business for the job, not Gigs On.

What it costs

Nothing. Gigs On is free for you. Businesses pay us a small introduction fee, and only when a customer chooses them.

Your privacy

Businesses see what you need, the area you’re in and, for solar, the picture of your roof. Photos you add are shared with the businesses invited to quote. Your name, address, phone number and email are only shared with the business you choose. More in our privacy notice.
