How Gigs On reviews work

Gigs On reviews come only from customers who hired the business through Gigs On. Here’s how they work.

Who can leave a review

Only a customer who chose the business on Gigs On and was put in touch with them. Every review is linked to a real job, and each job can be reviewed once.

When we ask

We email every customer about 30 days after their job goes ahead, whatever their experience, and ask up to 3 times. Customers can also leave a review from their Gig page. We never pay for reviews or offer anything in return, and businesses can’t choose which customers we ask.

What we publish

Reviews go live straight away, good or bad. We don’t edit them, except to remove phone numbers, email addresses and web links. We show the customer’s first name, their town, the type of job and the month it was posted. A business’s rating is the average of all its published Gigs On reviews.

Customers can change their review for 14 days after posting it.

Replies and reports

Businesses can reply publicly to any review. They can also report a review. While we check, it stays up. We only remove a review if it’s abusive or offensive, isn’t about the job, contains someone’s private details, or we have good reason to believe it isn’t genuine. We never remove a review just because it’s negative.

Questions

If you think a review breaks these rules, or you have a question about one, please contact Gigs On.
